Finding Serenity Before the Big Day: Health Tips for Every Bride

Weddings are a joyous occasion, yet the extensive preparations can be surprisingly taxing, often leading to stress. To help you approach your special day with radiance and calm, we’ve compiled a selection of practical health tips designed to minimize stress throughout your wedding planning journey. These strategies will empower you to maintain both your mental composure and physical health as you prepare to celebrate one of life’s most significant milestones.

Express Yourself Creatively

Engaging in creative activities like painting, writing, or even gardening can be a therapeutic outlet for your emotions. These activities not only provide a break from the wedding planning but also help in expressing and processing your feelings. Whether it’s sketching a scene from your daily life or journaling about your wedding planning journey, creative expression is a powerful tool to manage stress.

Fit Exercise into Your Schedule

Finding time for exercise might seem impossible with your busy schedule, but it’s crucial for stress relief and overall health. You don’t need to carve out large chunks of time at the gym; simple changes can make a big difference. Opt for the stairs over the elevator, enjoy a brisk walk during your lunch break, or even do a quick 10-minute workout at home. These small activities can significantly boost your mood and energy levels.

Discover the Benefits of Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy can be a simple yet effective way to calm your nerves. Essential oils like lavender, chamomile, or sandalwood can be used in diffusers, added to bathwater, or applied as body oils. These scents help to soothe the mind and are especially beneficial in the evenings to unwind after a day filled with decision-making and planning.

Cultivate Calm with Meditation

Meditation and deep breathing exercises are excellent tools for managing anxiety and stress. Spending just a few minutes each day in meditation can help clear your mind and reduce anxiety. You can find guided sessions online or apps that can help beginners ease into the practice. Similarly, practicing deep breathing exercises when feeling overwhelmed can provide immediate relief.

Embrace the Power of Gratitude

Keeping a gratitude journal can significantly enhance your outlook. Each day, take a moment to jot down things you are thankful for. This practice shifts your focus from the stressors to the positive aspects of your life, fostering a sense of contentment and reducing the urge to stress over the details of wedding planning.

Limit Screen Time for Better Rest

In the digital age, it’s easy to get caught up in endless scrolls through social media, especially looking at wedding ideas late into the night. However, reducing screen time, particularly before bedtime, can significantly improve your sleep quality. Aim to turn off digital devices at least an hour before bed to help your mind unwind and ensure a restful night’s sleep.

Schedule Regular Massages to Ease Tension

Consider scheduling regular massages in the months leading up to your wedding. Massages are not only relaxing but also help in releasing muscle tension and improving circulation. They can be a wonderful way to take a break from wedding planning and dedicate time to self-care.

Spend Time in Nature

Don’t underestimate the power of the outdoors to help clear your mind and uplift your spirits. Whether it’s a walk in a nearby park or a weekend getaway to a serene location, spending time in nature can significantly boost your mood and reduce feelings of stress. The natural light and fresh air are known to have mood-enhancing effects, which can be especially beneficial when you’re dealing with the pressure and expectations of planning a wedding.

As you move closer to your wedding day, remember that taking care of your mental and physical well-being is as important as the event details. By incorporating these health tips into your routine, you can ensure that you not only look but also feel your best on one of the most memorable days of your life. Remember, the goal is to enjoy the journey as much as the destination — the beginning of a new, exciting chapter in your life.

Planning the Perfect Wedding

https://www.legacyunion.com/

We’re so happy to hear your big news!

Have you started your wedding planning?

If not, then we are glad to help you out.

What to Prepare For Your Wedding

We know that you’re not the only one who has been waiting for this day to come. And now that it’s finally happening, your emotions may be overwhelming.

It’s normal to feel excited and overjoyed just by thinking about your wedding day. But that’s not the only thing that you will feel as your big day approaches. You may also feel a lot of stress and anxiety. But we can’t let those negative emotions take over, do we?

So to help calm your nerves, we are here to help you plan your wedding by providing you a list of things you need to consider for your big event.

Set Your Budget

The first thing you will always have to consider when planning for your wedding is the budget.

Always set your budget first before proceeding to look for the other essentials for your wedding day. If you have set a budget, you will know the limitations of the things you need to have for your wedding.

Your budget will determine the rest of your wedding plans and processes.

Set Your Date

Now that you and your partner have finally set the budget for your wedding plans, it’s time to pick a date for your wedding.

A lot of people get married everyday so setting the date and sending out a save the date early would assure you that you have no competition on that certain day.

After all, it only happens once in our lifetime so it’d better be memorable.

Setting the date for your wedding can also help you get started with setting the direction of your plans.

Pick Your Venue

Now that things are slowly coming together, it’s time for you to choose a venue for your big day.

We understand that there are thousands of beautiful locations to choose from. We highly recommend you choose a place that you are truly in love with.

Your wedding day only happens once so it’s best to pick a venue that is memorable for you and your husband.

It can also set the mood from good to fantastic.

Guest List

Although you can still change your guest list sometime later, it’s still best to start with it earlier so you will know the guest limit for your wedding. The amount of guests you are able to invite often depends on your budget and venue.

Starting a guest list can also help you adjust the venue for your wedding day and also the amount of food to be served.

Theme

Most weddings don’t have a specific theme, but having a themed can be fun and super stylish. Setting up a theme can also make it easier for you to choose the designs and the wardrobe choices for you, your partner, and even for your guests.

Choose Your Outfit

Never rush with this one.

Take your time and pick up a wedding gown and outfit that is perfect for you. Remember that your wedding day should be memorable and happy.

So if you want everyone to remember you, make sure to wear a gown that would look truly remarkable on you.

Plan your Hair and Makeup

Even though your hair and makeup will be done on the day of your wedding, planning it ahead of time can give you room to choose the perfect makeup artist and look.

This is the big day we are talking about and you should make sure that your makeup looks good on you so you can show off the best version of yourself.

Planning your wedding can be exhausting but it can also bring you lots of fun and excitement, especially if you have a wedding checklist with you. You can contact Personify Bridal if you want to learn more about makeup and making yourself look gorgeous for your wedding day. And if you want to work with a professional wedding photographer or videographer, you can contact Legacy Union Photo Co for the best wedding photography & videography services in Southern California.

Tips for Feeling Your Best as a Pandemic-Era Mom

Photo of Woman and Her Children Lying on Bed · Free Stock Photo (pexels.com)

The new year is all about fresh starts. And after a particularly rocky year, we could all use a little positive change in our lives — especially those of us with little ones! Moms have had to grapple with countless challenges throughout the pandemic, from navigating remote work to balancing childcare demands. It’s time you did a little something for yourself!

At Method Makeup Academy, we know how important it is for moms to prioritize their own health and wellbeing. Cultivating simple self-care habits will help you feel — and look — your best while stuck at home with the little ones.

Energize Your Home

It’s no secret that the pandemic has changed our relationship with our homes. The home is no longer a place we retreat to at the end of a long workday — it’s a fitness center, a restaurant, a school, and an office. For many moms, spending all of this time at home is nothing new, but without those precious outings to the coffee shop or gym, it’s easy to go a little stir-crazy.

Revamp your home to breathe new life into your living space. You’d be amazed at what a little cleaning and decluttering can do for your mental energy. Redfin even suggests cleansing bad energy from your home with the Native American technique of smudging. With a little spring cleaning, your home will feel lighter, brighter, and more positive.

Refresh Your Wardrobe

Like your home, your clothing can also impact how you feel throughout the day. If your wardrobe doesn’t make you feel energized, happy, confident, and beautiful, it’s time for an upgrade. Sort through your clothing and say goodbye to items that are worn out or ill-fitting. Replace these with some new clothes that will stand the test of time. In the long run, you can save a lot of money by avoiding fast fashion and investing in pieces made from high-quality, sustainable materials.

Remember, you should never sacrifice comfort for style. The right clothing will make you feel and look your best, whether you’re running errands with the kids or hopping on a Zoom call for work. Think leggings, T-shirts, dresses, cardigans, and soft bras without underwire.

Prioritize Sleep

Sleep is one of the most overlooked contributing factors to a happy and stress-free life. Parents, in particular, tend to sacrifice sleep to plug away at housework or log a few extra hours of work late in the evening. Instead of an afterthought, try to make sleep a priority in the new year.

As HuffPost suggests, adopting a bedtime ritual can help you maintain a regular sleep schedule and encourage you to switch off your devices and allow your mind to wind down for bed. Getting a good night’s sleep every night will ensure you have the energy you need to keep up with your busy life and cope with the stress of the ongoing pandemic.

Let Go of Guilt

Mom guilt is incredibly common and all too real. Whether you’re running a home business, working remotely, or commuting to the office daily, you are bound to experience mom guilt from time to time. Mom guilt can be paralyzing, especially when everything on your plate is already pushing the boundaries of your mental capacity.

The Balance Careers offers a quick way to dispel mom guilt when you have to leave your kids and focus on work. Create a credo or statement that reassures you that you’re making the right choice, like “I work to support my family and empower myself to be the best mom I can be.” Repeating this mantra can help you move past that feeling of guilt and get down to work!

Adapting to parenthood during the pandemic is about more than merely surviving the daily grind. It’s about thriving in your role as a mother and working professional. It’s about making time to focus on the things that matter, such as getting a good night’s sleep and treating yourself to some comfortable clothing.

Are you looking to begin your career as a professional makeup artist? If so, Method Makeup Academy can provide you with the skills necessary for success. Call us at (916) 899-7047 or email methodmakeup@gmail.com to learn more about enrollment.

Purple Smoky Eye Tutorial

Hello my lovelies, today I am doing a quick Purple Smoky Eye Tutorial using Marc Jacobs Eye-Conic shadow palette and playing with a Fenty highlighter. Since I have a hooded eye it’s not a traditional smoky eye with a full dark lid. Instead I’ve chosen to do a modified smoky with a silver lid. I’ve used the dark purple in the crease to minimize the appearance of my droopy/hooded lid. I had fun with this witchy purple and digging this killer smoky eye!

Hope you enjoy!

Until next time…
